Description:
Armley Mills is an Industrial Museum reflecting the wealth of Leeds' industrial heritage, but it was once the largest woollen mill in the world. With a wide range of exhibits dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, the museum shows the history of textiles, clothing, optics, engine and locomotive manufacturing in the area. Armley Mills also features a recreated mill managerís parlour, mill workers cottages, Victorian school room, 1920ís cinema and regular working steam engine weekends.
