This search will bring up in alphabetical order all the contributors in Yorkshire that have story journeys on My Yorkshire. The information that is supplied about a contributor will give information such as address, opening/meeting times and contact details and community programmes. This page will also have a link to story journeys created by that contributor. You can also search here for specific words and if a story journey has that word in its title it will be highlighted, or if it is in the main body of text it will identify learning journeys with that word in.
Geographical regions of Yorkshire from the area map on the left column of the Home Page. The regions include South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and The Humber. This search will bring up all the contributing organisations and individuals on My Yorkshire in that region.
Key Word searching through the Google Custom Search box at the top right of the home page will highlight if a story has that word/s in any of the text. You can also search for contributors from here.
My Yorkshire website was created as a joint initiative of the eight Renaissance Partnership Community History Projects in museums across Yorkshire and the Humber. It was developed as a new regional ‘digital storytelling’ website where stories from the projects could be displayed in a sustainable and accessible online format.
The aim of the My Yorkshire website is to help make material collected during community projects more accessible by providing an online platform for digital stories and related content.
It is hoped that other projects will join the website as contributors over time. It will become a resource for museums, galleries, libraries and archives all over Yorkshire and The Humber.
The coordination and publishing of content for the website was led by Kate Measures, Hear My Story Partnership Coordinator and the site is maintained by Alison Glew, My Yorkshire Project Support Officer - Tel 0773 258 5959 firstname.lastname@example.org
